Senior Product Designer at Atlassian
Abhinav was Samarth’s mentor
"I had the pleasure of mentoring Samarth during his internship at Atlassian. He brings a rare combination of curiosity, adaptability, and clarity in thinking. He picked up tools quickly, navigated complex problem spaces with ease, and consistently asked the right questions. During his time with us, he contributed meaningfully to a key project - conducting research, running competitive analysis, generating concepts, gathering team feedback, and presenting a final solution that aligned strongly with both business and product goals.
He’s thoughtful, collaborative, and driven by craft. Any team would be lucky to have him, and I look forward to seeing what he builds next."
Building Vyazen
Chetan managed Samarth directly
"Samarth joined us as a UX Intern and quickly took on some very large responsibilities. We were a very early stage product startup and most of our product features were merely ideas. Samarth was able to translate these ideas to a tangible interface designs of our product. His contribution has formed a strong baseline for us to work on. He is meticulous and has a strong sense of design. I would strongly recommend Samarth be a part of any design team."
Design has always been close—quite literally, given that most of my family works in the field. That path eventually brought me to IDC, IIT Bombay, where I’m wrapping up my Dual Degree. My time here has taken me through digital and physical interaction design, game design, animation, and the occasional debugging marathon fueled by my love for coding.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me playing a sport, fast asleep, or juggling three different media streams for no logical reason. Professionally, I’ve experienced both ends of the spectrum—from the scale of Atlassian to the agility of startups like Vyaasa, working hands-on with founders and small teams.
